I have found a lot of smaller shelving units over the years but I felt I needed something a bit more sturdy and resistant, specially for larger pieces. Its a nice sleek design, good color, and material. The unit wasn't hard to setup and looks good with my collectables.I was slow to review this item because I was waiting on the perfect furniture piece to add with it and wanted to be able to give an adequate review. I used this piece to hold file folder trays (3 to be exact) that are filled with file folders and miscellaneous documents throughout the day. Sometimes our file folders can be heavy and this shelf seems to hold them all with no problem! I was very impressed. Also love that you can fold it back against the wall to get it out of the way. Super handy trick. Loved!Its big and sturdy but its only one shelf i feel like its way overpriced
