Top surface of the table and the bottom shelf don't have enough paint coats and sealant. The wood is probably stained with just one coating and feels rough to the touch. It'll probably look terrible after some use, maybe in less than a year. It's a shame because the color, size and shape are very good as a living room side table. Only needed more coats of paint and sealant to be perfect for something costing over $200!
